About this role
What you would do
- Feeding cats, including wet food, prescription diets and supplements
- Cleaning rooms: litter pans, sweeping, mopping and changing bedding
- Washing dishes and doing laundry on commercial machines
- Socializing cats through petting, play and behavioral training
- Giving facility tours and accepting donations
- Aged to Purrfection: therapy visits to senior facilities
- Cat stroller walks on the sanctuary grounds
- Gardening, minor repairs, photography and administrative work
Tabby's Place is a cat sanctuary on Route 202 in Ringoes. Volunteers commit to a regular shift, either weekly or twice a month, and shifts run two to three hours. Everyone attends an orientation before starting.
