About this role

What you would do

Carry out visual stream assessments at sites across the watershed
Run chemical monitoring tests on stream water
Collect samples for E. coli monitoring
Take part in stream restoration events
Attend a public stream assessment training session in spring or fall

The Great Swamp Watershed Association protects the streams that feed the Great Swamp and the Passaic River. The data volunteers collect shows where pollution starts and whether cleanup work is holding. Stream Team members work outdoors at stream sites around the watershed. The team gathers a few times per year.
