Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad answers emergency medical calls for the town using three ambulances. Members ride as a crew, treat patients on scene, and stay with them on the way to the hospital. The squad trains new members from the start, so no medical experience is needed to join. Members commit to one duty period each week.
