About this role

What you would do

  • Morning Garden Volunteers: planting, weeding, mulching, pruning and seasonal garden installations
  • Evening Farm Volunteers: planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting and processing
  • Tend perennial gardens that support local ecosystems and educational programming
  • Work the organic farm that grows over 80 varieties of organic vegetables
  • Group volunteer days: planting, mulching, harvesting and bed preparation
  • Complete the 30 minute New Volunteer Orientation with safety training, facility tour and project orientation
City Green farms and gardens in Clifton and grows food for the surrounding community. The Farm Eco-Center holds both perennial gardens and an organic vegetable farm. Sessions repeat every Wednesday, so a volunteer can come once or return all season. Group days also run at Mount Olive and Paterson sites.
