About this role

What you would do

  • Regular Shifts: a weekly one hour shift keeping the space in order and preparing materials for programs
  • Special Events: help with check in, craft tables for kids, set up and clean up
  • Teen Advisory Board: lead programs, create displays and booklists, brainstorm events
  • Reading Buddies: pair with a child in grades K to 3 over four weeks to practice reading
Two branches run the teen volunteer program: Headquarters in Flemington and the North County Branch in Clinton. Teens pick the track that fits their schedule. Hours are logged in GivePulse, and the library suggests keeping your own record as well.
