What you would do
Invasive Species Strike Team: help identify and remove invasive plants
Complete an introductory orientation training before joining the Strike Team
Learn to identify common invasive plant species and best management practices for long term control
Volunteer individually or work in small groups once training is complete
Tools and training are provided and no prior experience is required
The Environmental Education Center is part of Lord Stirling Park in Somerset County. Invasive plants spread through the park and damage the ecosystem, so removal work protects the native habitat. Volunteers are needed throughout the year, and corporate groups can arrange group work days.
