About this role
What you would do
- Event Support: set up and decorate the venue for Lunar New Year, the Color Run, the Lantern Festival and Light Up Diwali
- Event Support: register and manage other volunteers on event day
- Event Support: handle logistical details for cultural events and fundraisers
- Single-event volunteering: staff the AAPI New Jersey information table at local festivals
- Single-event volunteering: spend an afternoon setting up crafts and decorations for an event
- Skills-based help: legal advice, graphic design, IT support, strategic planning or youth mental health
- Asian Aunty Brigade: practice the Korean drumming tradition of pungmul, learn de-escalation, join community actions
AAPI New Jersey runs cultural events and days of service for Asian American and Pacific Islander communities across the state. The events raise money and bring neighbors together around shared traditions. Volunteers can take on a full season of events or help at a single day.
