Teen Volunteer Program

RWJUH Somerset places teen volunteers in non-clinical roles supporting patients, families, visitors and staff. Applicants must be at least 15 and have completed 9th grade, and the teen must call Volunteer Services personally to arrange a phone discussion before an application is sent. Requirements include a personal interview, a reference form from the high school guidance counselor, a medical attestation form from a physician confirming up to date immunizations including flu vaccine, and attendance at an orientation program. The hospital states there are no summer only placements.
