About this role
What you would do
- Help adult learners with basic skills in reading, writing, math, social studies or science
- Prepare adult learners for the GED exam
- Tutor one on one and build a relationship with the same student through the semester
- Attend in-house tutor training held on site at the start of each semester
- Bring willingness to learn rather than teaching experience; no prior teaching experience is necessary
All The Way Up serves adults who want to build basic skills or earn a GED. Tutoring happens in an intergenerational classroom where tutors and students meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. The commitment is 1 to 2 hours a week for one 12 week semester.
